Mary was a 42 year old woman who came to us for low back pain. It had been bothering her for only a few days. She thought that something was just 'out of place', although she did have this happen every couple of months. She had been to other chiropractors and they helped but the pain kept coming back.
Upon completing our paperwork, Mary received a thourough examination of not only her spine, but all of the systems of her body. It was found that Mary had postural unleveling of the pelvis and shoulders. We also found that she had slight tenderness over the liver area.
We ordered some x-rays and blood tests, and found mild arthritis in the spine and elevated liver enzymes.
We determined from these results that Mary's misalignments were recurrent or coming back because she had early stages of liver disease because she was on powerful cholesterol loweing drugs.
We were able to help Mary change her diet and exercise plan, so that her cholesterol medication was no longer needed. After a few series of treatments, Mary health was back to top form.
